Liam Feels Right at Home in the Aran Isles

Apparently the good people of the Aran Islands have a custom of building Leprechaun Houses for the wee folk like me'self. This house near Dun Aengus seemed to be vacant- perhaps I'll move in!

Adventure in the Aran Islands

We took a ferry to Inishmore- the largest of the Aran Isles.

We rented bikes to explore the island- sadly they didn't have a bike small enough for a wee little one like me'self.

Here I am at the old lookout post near the lighthouse.

The spectacular view at Dun Aengus.

Friday Night at the Crane Bar

We ventured to the Crane Bar in search of a traditional music session- here I am enjoying Bulmer's with some of the wee lasses from William and Mary.

Having a pint with Eamonn.

The coasters featured this trivia question... "A guy boasts that he can predict the score of any football match before the game begins. How is this possible?" The answer? The score of any football match is 0-0 before it begins! Very sneaky...

Liam Goes Caving!

Headed into the Aillwee Cave...

Liam the intrepid explorer ventures underground!

Cliffs of Moher

Joined the Geology class for a trip to the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare.

Lots of lovely wildflowers...

Rather blunt warning signs...

Lots of cows around too!

In the Land of "Liams"

We strolled down Liam Street today- how appropriate!

Found yet another book with my namesake on the cover... he's everywhere!

A Wee Bit o' Shopping in the City

Found some other wee folk like me'self at this school supply store...

Visited Charlie Byrne's, a fantastic used book shop, and found this book with Liam Neeson (my namesake!) on the cover.

A sampling of the groceries the girls picked up for the apartment...

Claddagh Ring Museum

The shop where the very first Claddagh Rings were made...

The little museum in the back...

Some old Claddagh Rings...

Up Close and Personal with a Galway Lass

Encountered this fine lady on the walk back to the apartment after dinner...

Lovely Irish Dinner

The menu featured a Yeats poem that the young lasses read in class today...

Fun at the Pub

What better way to kick off my time in the Emerald Isle than with a pint of the black stuff?

Enjoying a night at the pub with some lovely lasses from William and Mary...

I made a pretty good dent in that pint for a wee man like me'self.

Textbook Shopping

The lasses went to get the textbooks for their classes, and they found a Joyce book endorsed by Ewan McGregor. Now that's high praise!

Moving In

Getting all moved in to the Corrib Village apartment in Galway, home sweet home for the next four weeks.
